Over the past challenging three months many of you reached out to us to ask whether we’re accepting donations of items at the door; regrettably we’ve had to say ‘no.’ Prior to the pandemic we were grateful and blessed to receive generous donations of non-perishable groceries and other items on our Wish List.  We had to suspend accepting donations at the door to protect everyone’s safety.  But now there is a way for friends and supporters to help DASO with essential needs!

Please see our current Wish List on Amazon Canada: https://www.amazon.ca/hz/wishlist/ls/3DEKOGPPNE8BW?ref_=wl_share. Items you select and purchase on behalf of DASO will be shipped directly to our Woodstock shelter (when you get to the delivery page on Amazon, please have the items delivered to 975 James Street, Woodstock ON  N4S 0A4).  Once again all purchases – no matter the size or total value – will be appreciated. Every donated item helps us help!

At Domestic Abuse Services Oxford we know that we couldn’t do what we do – provide help, hope and critically needed services to women, children and adolescents impacted by domestic abuse and/or homelessness – without the generous help of our friends and supporters in the communities of Oxford. That has always been true. But now, more than at any time in our 46 year history, your support is vital.

The pandemic continues to impact everyone. At DASO, it poses additional challenges to the way we deliver our essential services but we are still here 24/7 offering safe shelter, counselling and transitional support. Staff have been working on-site every hour, every day since the beginning of the pandemic. In my heart and mind, DASO staff are my heroes. They have worked through fears and uncertainty to continue serving the women, children and adolescents who need our services and programs. We are a small but powerful team and I’m so grateful for their dedication.

From everyone at Domestic Abuse Services Oxford, staff and our Board of Directors, our continued best wishes to you and your families for health and safety and our heartfelt thanks for your invaluable support!
