Week one of 2018 is coming to a close, most of the Christmas decorations have been taken down and the kids are heading back to school after a two-week break. The holiday season is officially over!
Once again it was a busy one at DASO featuring lots of great food, festive activities and special surprises for all of the women, children and teens staying at our Woodstock shelter. Thanks to the extra efforts of our staff – and the incredible generosity of our friends and benefactors in the community – our residents were delighted and extremely grateful to receive wonderful gifts of toys, clothing, treats, household items, gift cards and more.
We are also deeply appreciative of the financial contributions from individuals, families and organizations. Donations of all amounts ensure we can continue to offer help and hope to women, children and teens in Oxford County impacted by domestic abuse and/or homelessness. Many thanks too to those who visited our website’s donation page to view and collect some of the much needed items on our Wish List – contributions of these essentials help us throughout the year.
Thank you for your ongoing support as we work toward our goal of a violence-free community for all. On behalf of everyone at DASO, warm wishes for a safe, healthy and happy new year!
